Day 01
Arrival Tel Aviv airport, meet and transfer to hotel in Jerusalem dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Mt. of Olives – Gethsemane – Bethlehem – Hebron
We start the day at the Mount of Olives, for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. From here, we proceed by bus across the Kidron Valley, past the Tombs of Absalom, Zechariah and James as we travel to Bethlehem, birthplace of King David and Our Lord and see Rachel’s Tomb, one of the most sacred shrines in the Holy Land for Jews. We will also visit the Church of the Nativity, the grotto where Jesus was born, and the Field of Boaz and Ruth.If time and security permits visit Hebron Caves of Machpelah.
Day 3 Mt. Zion – Cardo – City of David
We walk to the Zion Gate and enter the Old City of Jerusalem through this gate and walk through the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter. Walk along the Roman/Byzantine Street called the “Cardo” to the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest spot. We visit the newly excavated Davidson center and the City of David, including the Pool of Siloam and Hezekiah Tunnel.
Day 4 Worship – Old City – Garden Tomb
Morning worship in Jerusalem Later we drive to the Old City of Jerusalem. Enter the Old City visit Pool of Bethesda, St. Anne’s Church, Chapel of the Flagellation and Pilate’s Judgment Hall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, we pass through the colorful bazaars, alleyways and market places and reach the Church of the Holy Sepulcher for a brief visit. End the day at the Garden Tomb remember the resurrection, with time for prayer and reflection. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Jacobs Well – Caesarea – Nazareth – Tiberias
Check out from hotel and drive to Nablus where we saw Jacob’s well. Since pottery shards found inside the well date right back to the time of Jacob this is very likely to be the genuine one that he dug. Continue to Sebastia – the town called Samaria in the Old Testament. Here Biblical King Omri built his castle, and his son Ahab lived there with his wife Jezebel. After lunch, we drive to Caesarea Caesarea the incredible fortress city built by King Herod the Great. Here, Pontius Pilate had his base; where Cornelius lived and was baptized (Acts 10); where Paul embarked to Tarsus (Acts 9:30) and where Philip preached (Acts 8:40). Visit the Roman Theatre, the Hippodrome, and the Crusader City. We drive through Nazareth viewing Mount Precipice
Day 6 Boat ride – Around the Sea of Sea of Galilee – Baptismal site
After breakfast, we will depart our day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee to Kibbutz Ginossar where we will see a ancient boat from the time of Jesus displayed at the Kibbutz Museum. Stop at Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene, was a prosperous fishing village at the time Jesus was active in this region, Continue to Capernaum, the centre of Jesus’ Galilean ministry and the site of many of his miracles. We will see the remains of Peter’s house and the synagogue site where Jesus taught and worshipped. Continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered what is perhaps the most famous sermon ever preached – “The Sermon On The Mount” (Matt.5). We will drive north of the Golan Heights and visit Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River and the site of ancient “Caesarea Philipi”, where Peter made the confession of faith in Christ (Matt; 16:16). Return to Tiberias via the east side of the Sea of Galilee stopping at Kursi if time permit to see the place where the demons entered the swine and entered the Sea of Galilee. Stop at Yardenit the Baptismal Centre on the Jordan River on their way to hotel.
Day 7 Muhraqa – Megiddo – Jerash – Amman
Check-out from hotel and drive to Megiddo, one of King Solomon’s walled fortified cities (1 Kings 9:15; 10:26), with ruins of 20 levels of civilization. From here the Books of Daniel and Revelation will come alive as we read about the final Battle of Armageddon, while viewing the Plains of Jezreel. Transfer to Sheikh Hussein Bridge to cross to Jordan. If time permits stop at Jerash – visit the ruins of the Roman city. Travel to Madaba to study the unique ancient mosaic map of the world from the Byzantine era. Emulating the children of Israel and Moses, stop on Mt. Nebo for a glimpse of the Promised Land. Continue south through the Moab Mountains to We stop at Mt. Nebo where Moses saw the Promised Land for the first time.
Day 8 Amman – Kerak – Petra
Leave Amman and drive south through Kings Highway to Kerak an important city of the Biblical kingdom of Moab, Kerak was also home to the Nabateans, Romans (from 105 AD), and the Byzantines, before the Crusaders built a castle here. Continue to Petra to visit the world’s wonder and Jordan’s most valuable treasure. The city was carved into the sheer rock face by Nabataeans, settled 2000 years ago and made an important junction for silk, spice and other trade routes linking China and India with Egypt, Greece and Rome. We visit the Treasury, Monastery and amphitheater. Dinner and overnight in Petra.
Day 9 Petra – Wadi Rum – Borders – Taba
Check in from hotel early morning and drive to Wadi Rum, one of the world’s outstanding desert landscapes to observe local life and Bedouin culture. This is where the movie “Lawrence of Arabia” was made in 1962. We have a traditional Bedouin lunch in one of their tents. Continue to Arava borders and cross to Israel. Drive through Eilat to Taba borders.
Day 10 Taba – St. Catherine – Taba
Full day Excursion to St. Catherine. View Mt. Moses and Visit St, Catherine Monastery, which is considered one of the most famous monasteries in the world. The monastery was dedicated to one of Alexander’s rulers, St Catherine, who was tortured to death for the sake of her new faith. Back to our hotel in Taba. Rest of the day relax and enjoy the Red Sea.
Day 11 Taba – Massada – Jericho
Morning cross borders to Eilat/Israel. We drive through Sodom and Gomorah to Massada.
You will take a cable car to the summit of this magnificent fortress built by King Herod the Great and the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots. Visit the historic ruins and see the palaces, bathhouses, swimming pool, and the oldest synagogue in the world on this mountain in the middle of the desert. After descending this mountain by cable car we travel to Jericho for dinner and overnight
Day 12 Jericho – Qumran – Dead Sea – Qasr El Yehud – Jericho
After breakfast we drive to Qumran, where a young shepherd boy discovered the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 in the cave that you will see. These scrolls are the oldest scriptures of the Bible ever found. You will see the where the Essenes who wrote these scrolls lived and wrote these scrolls. We will have time to take a float in the saltiest body of water in world.
On our way back to Jericho we stop at Qasr El Yehud Baptismal site on the Jordan River.
In the afternoon, tour Jericho, view the Sycamore Tree and the Tel of Jericho and Mt. Temptation. dinner and overnight in Jericho.
Day 13 Home
Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for flight back home.
