Trip Itinerary

Day 1
Leave hometown to Athens
Day 2: Athens
On arrival, we begin our tour of Athens with the Acropolis, the Perthenon, the Temple of Wingless Victory, the Propylea and the Erechteum. We’ll also go beneath the Acropolis to see Mars Hill where St. Paul made his famous “Men of Athens” speech.
Day 3: Athens & Corinth
We’ll take a beautiful drive along the coast to Corinth with a stop at the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean and Ionian Seas. We’ll also visit the ruins of Corinth including the Agora, Temple of Apollo and the Bema Seat where St. Paul likely preached and where we celebrate Mass. Afterwards, we return to Athens to see the National Library, Academy, Presidential Palace, Temple of Zeus and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Day 4: Aegean Cruise
Today, we board our three-day cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey. We arrive in the afternoon at Mykonos where we will be free to explore the winding streets filled with whitewashed houses on our own.
Day 5: Rhodes
We arrive at Rhodes where Paul stopped. We enjoy a half-day trip to Lindos, where Paul landed on his sea voyage, to see the Acropolis and the Temple of Athena, one of the most beautiful temples in Greece.
Day 8: Veria & Thessaloniki
We will drive through the plains of Thessaly, the legendary home of the Greek gods, and continue on to Veria where Paul visited on route to Athens. We will spend the night in Thessaloniki.
Day 9: Philippi
We follow the ancient route of St. Paul to Amphipolis before continuing to ancient Philippi where Paul established the first church in Europe. We continue to Kavala to the site of ancient Neapolis where Paul landed on the way to Philippi. We will celebrate an outdoor Mass where Paul is said to have baptized Lydia, the first European convert.
